Problem: sbcglobal.net email -- We are only receiving about 20% of our inbound emails - this has been going on for over a week

We cannot find a common denominator to the problem. Still get some with attachments vs those that are all content and no attachments

The end users of the email tell me it has been going on for a month as of today.

We're here to assist with your emails coming in, @Connieb2022!

First, let's have you check the server settings of your email to ensure that everything is set up properly.

You can take these steps to check the settings:

  1. Select File, then Account Settings.
  2. Choose your AT&T email account and then select Change
  3. Confirm or enter the IMAP or POP settings.
    • Incoming server: imap.mail.att.net (IMAP) or inbound.att.net (POP3)
    • Outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.att.net (IMAP) or outbound.att.net (POP3)

This is the information needed for the servers:

  • Incoming server - Enter 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3).
  • Use the following type of encrypted connection - Choose SSL.
  • Outgoing server - Enter 465 (IMAP and POP3).
  • Use the following type of encrypted connection - Choose SSL.'

We look forward to hearing how to works for you!

Hmmm.  Did not find any of the settings that were different from those that you shared.
Still looking for a solution.
Thanks

Thanks for checking the settings for us, Connieb2022.

Since the server settings seem to be correct, let's try troubleshooting MS Outlook. Try these options from our Login and Email Solutions article:

  • Test using web mail - Sign in to currently.com to see if you're still only getting some of your inbound emails. This can help us determine if the problem is with your email account or Outlook.

  • Mailboxes - We recommend using the latest version. Updates and changes may prevent it from working properly.

  • Rebuild your mailbox profile - In some instances, rebuilding the profile fixes some issues. You may lose email doing this.

  • Change your settings from POP to IMAP. If you are using POP, you must now use IMAP. There was a recent change, this article will explain further.

Give that a try, and let us know how it went. We'll be here if you need further assistance!
