Mobile Yahoo mail - Android App - CAN'T Login

My Yahoo mobile is not allowing me to log into my att.net account.  I get through the login, password, then AT&T askes me which account, then I receive error message saying their are problems, try again later.  I have done this on two mobile devices and neither is working.  I have used Yahoo Mail! for years prior to this problem Monday night.  I tried resetting password.  I am able to login to att.net directly over internet, but not through mobile app.

We're here to assist with your email login, @amalvarez!

We have a few things to try to resolve this:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the app
  • Make sure the app is up to date
  • Clear the apps cache and cookies

Doing theses steps can clear any settings that may be causing the error to occur.

If you need assistance clearing the cache and cookies of the app on your device, please let us know which Android you are using so we can provide those steps!

It's also possible that you may need to create a seucre mail key for your email. This is a 16-character passcode that will be generated and take place of your current email password for when signing into email apps such as Yahoo Mail.

Thanks for letting us know, @amalvarez!

Our next suggestion is to clear the cache and cookies in your mobile app. Here are the steps you can take to do so:

  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon
  2. Scroll to and select Apps > desired app > Storage > Clear cache
Let us know if this helps. If not, we may need to move this conversation to a private space so that we can get help from our Email support team.

We appreciate that update, @amalvarez!

We've got one more thing to try. Please use Currently to log into your email. This will help us to rule out our email service as the cause of your login issue.

Let us know how it goes. If you're unable to log in there, we'll have to dig a little deeper into potential resolution options.
