Hi drbobw, we can answer your question about forwarding your email.
The ability to forward your AT&T Mail account to another email inbox was discontinued on December 5, 2018. However, you can still forward individual emails.
If you're trying to transfer a Yahoo! Mail account to Gmail, we suggest reaching out to the Yahoo! support team for assistance.
If you have any other questions, let us know.
Thank you for joining the AT&T Community.

So now I see the pitch is sign up for a paid email I don’t want to fix a 20 year old account and the link you provided wants be to also sign up for yahoo+ another service fee when I’m trying to get away from att/yahoo/currently sbcglobal.net! Fabulous, see you in court I guess!

Oh please, spare us the empty court room threats. You have no basis and you're tied to arbitration anyway. Services change features all the time.
If you really want to get away from the Yahoo/AT&T account you can use the Import tool in Gmail. It will copy all of your sbc email including folders and even contacts if you want. Then it will continue to copy over new email for 30 days.

@guru, thanks I didn’t know but sounds like a plan! After 8 hours yesterday trying to suddenly get locked out altogether on phone calls with Asia I was livid! Every rep wanted my account info, paying customer service. Sorry I’m tired of no customer service!nd everything nickle and dining everyone! I’m frustrated because this is a 20 year old account from southwestern bell! I was a first uverse customer and used att till April this year for cell. I refused to pay through the nose when I can go somewhere else and get the same thing! Kindness matters! There are posts online about how this works the forwarding but the catch is it’s only an option if you pay a monthly fee for a freaking email account! Happy holidays! Won’t be back, have fun!
