Decouple ATT email account from OLD ATT internet account
-I have an ATT email account.
- I have an ATT Email Account;
- For which I purchased ATT Yahoo Email Plus;
- ATT Yahoo Email Plus can only eliminate advertisements from ATT Email Accounts - Spam and Domain spam addresses entered will only work for Yahoo email Accounts. NOT ATT Email Accounts;
- According to ATT Yahoo Email Plus, they cannot assist with ATT Email Accounts until ATT "unmerges" my ATT Email Account from my old ATT INTERNET ACCOUNT.

Update: after 4 hours on the phone with ATT tech support for email, Uverse, and Digital, they could not figure out how to decouple my ATT email from my old ATT Internet account.
Can anyone shed some insight into how to stop spam emails? I’m up to 100/day and this is maddening!🤪
Open to any suggestions.

We can help you learn how to report and filter spam emails, almond132581.
We suggest that you create filters to send particular emails to spam, a folder, or your inbox.
Here are the steps from our guide on Reporting and filtering email spam:
We also suggest that you read through our guide on how to Protect yourself from email spam. You'll learn some of the reasons you get spam and how to avoid it.
When it comes to unlinking your email address from your old Internet account, that is not something we're able to do. When an account is closed, the email address remains active and will still be linked to that account.
We hope that clears things up for you. If you need help with anything else, let us know.

@almond132581 "Unmerging" your email account will not change a thing. You need to have a @yahoo.com account for some of their features to work and when you unlink the account it still stays the exact same address (att.net, bellsouth.net, sbglobal.net, etc).
That being said, the features you are paying for now that DO apply to your account have ZERO effect on spam. "Ad free" emails doesn't mean they stop the spam you're currently getting, it means Yahoo won't insert ads into your Inbox like this....

Thank you. You are absolutely correct.
Might you suggest a method to prevent spam in ATT Mail settings once getting rid of Yahoo Plus?

I wish I could provide you with a solution but I'm afraid that the type of spam that is currently getting into your Inbox can only be stopped by the server-side spam tools at Yahoo, so they're the only ones who can fix the issue.
Until they turn that back on again, all you can do is to keep hitting Delete. 😟
