Cannot Log Into sbcglobal.net Email Account

Until recently I was able to access my sbcglobal.net email account through Outlook but I keep getting the prompt to enter a password. Despite several attempts to enter the password Outlook will still not connect with my sbcglobal.net account. I can't log into AT&T to change my password or update my profile because AT&T doesn't recognize my sbcglobal.net email anymore. I can't log into Yahoo to check my sbcglobal.net email either. I have tried about every recommended solution posted on the internet but nothing works.

I called AT&T 3 weeks ago and FINALLY got through to a live person but they couldn't help me and transferred me to someone who could but actually they just transferred me to the main menu. Is there a live person I can talk to who is knowledgeable about this issue and can fix it?

Without being able to log into your att.com account you won't be able to create a Secure Mail Key necessary for Outlook to work.  If you can't log into the webmail version, you also can't switch to some other email client, like Thunderbird, which doesn't use the SMK.

Unless AT&T can get you back in I don't see any hope of you using that email account any more.

Thanks for your response I have a Secure Mail Key that was created last year but it's not working. I had mentioned that to the person I talked to at AT&T and they said those keys expire but if it's used to get to your email it doesn't make sense that they would expire.

I don't think they expire as I have one that I've had for a long time and it still works and one I created in August and it suddenly stopped working.

Of course none of that matters if you can't get in.
