Bellsouth.net email

I just logged into my Bellsouth.Net email account (now housed at Currently.com) for the first time in at least 7 years, and all of my old emails have been deleted. Is it possible to recover these emails?

Hey there @seaschell25. We saw your post and wanted to reach out to you and answer your question regarding restoring deleted emails.

It is possible to recover deleted emails, however, please know that it is only possible if the emails have been deleted in the past 7 days. Please follow the steps to submit a restoration request included in the previous link if you would like to give this a try.

We have also noticed a recent trend with bellsouth.net users that have seen emails temporarily disappearing from folders. This is something we are currently investigating the cause of, but these other users have reported that logging out and back in may cause them to reappear.

We also recommend logging in directly via Currently, if you are not doing so already. It sounds as though you are logging in via currently, but if we are mistaken, and you are using a third party mail client such as Outlook or Thunderbird, make sure that your client was set up with IMAP rules instead of POP3, as the latter would cause your emails to be removed from Currently and forwarded to the third party client.

Keep in mind that AT&T will not delete old emails for any reason until the account itself is suspended. If you are concerned that in your absence someone may have deleted your emails, please take a look at how to tips to restore your account security and continue to keep it safe.

Please let us know if this information was helpful and if you have any additional questions or concerns. If you notice anything else new about your account, please keep us updated!
