adding att.com email address for yahoo email access
I have a yahoo.com email account and an att.net email account that I have been accessing via currently/yahoo email. When I log into the email app (on phone or laptop) both accounts show in the upper left, and I can choose which I want to access. I recently activated another (formerly unused) att.com email account. I am able to access this newly activated account directly and see just this email account's contents, but I would like to be able to access it in the same open app as the others. That is, I would like it to show in the upper left, so that I can choose it and review its contents without having to open a separate instance of currently/yahoo email. How can I make this happen? Thanks.

We're here to assist with your email account inquiry, @vickijomls!
When logging into the old account, did you follow these steps?

When you say "old account" do you mean the one that I recently activated and that I am trying to add to the list that displays when I log into either my in-use Yahoo email account or my in-use AT&T email account?
Also, what I see after tapping on my Profile icon does not match what you tell me to tap on next.
Instead of "Manage Accounts" I see (and tap on) "Add or manage accounts."
Then I see (and tap on) "Add another account".
Is this because of a problem, or am I in the wrong place, or were you being generic in your instructions?
Regardless, I continue, and from this point I have tried several things, but eventually I keep hitting roadblocks (like it will only allow me to log into a specific account, and it is not the one I am trying to add; OR the known problem (see elsewhere in this forum) of being told there are too many unsuccessful sign-in attempt (when there are not, ...).
If you could give me more exact instructions, perhaps I'll have better luck.
Thanks.

Hi, vickijomls!
To get your recently added email account to show up in the Yahoo! Mail app the way your other accounts do, we recommend contacting the Yahoo! technical support team. AT&T doesn't provide support for the Yahoo! Mail app, so they are the best team to assist you.
If you have any other questions or concerns about your email account, we'll be here to help. Thanks for visiting the AT&T Community Forums!

I am not accepting this solution, because it does not solve my problem. When I go to Yahoo technical support and try to follow instructions, I am put back into an AT&T site. Also, Yahoo seems to imply that I must pay for YahooPlus in order to get any help. I am not going to take my chances with this, since I expect it is unlikely to solve my problem and only cost me some money. I will keep plugging away at alternate things that I think may work. Ultimately, I may just go with gmail. Sorry this did not work out better.

If you don't want to contact Yahoo! directly, vickijomls, we can see if our team that handles 3rd party apps can help with Yahoo! Mail.
We'll send you a Direct Message to get started. Look for the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page.

When you say "apps" are you talking both on phone and on laptop? Changes I make in one are reflected in the other, so they cannot be totally separate. On my phone, I use the Yahoo app from the Play Store because it is what comes up when I enter "AT&T email" in the search. Is there an app that I can use on my phone that is an AT&T developed and supported app? On my laptop, I go to Currently.com and login and choose Mail. On both my phone and laptop I can choose either my AT&T email account or my Yahoo email account (they show in a list in the upper left) while in my email.
I do not understand how AT&T and Yahoo work together, or why there seems to be a reluctance to acknowledge their connection. Initially, I did not combine my email apps to appear together - that just happened, and I assumed it was because AT&T and Yahoo did some kind of merge.
In the past (on a related issue), tried a Direct Message approach and it went no where. However, after leaving the problem alone for a while, and then revisiting it, I found the problem solved. I suspect there is a delay in communication between AT&T and Yahoo, because at one point I was told to wait 24 hours.
So, I will wait a couple of days and check to see where things are, and I will pursue Direct Message if the problem persists.
Thanks for your patience.
