Yahoo login keeps redirecting to at&t
When tryning to log in to my Yahoo email account (sbcglobal.net), I am being redirected to an AT&T log in page. I DO NOT HAVE AN AT&T ACCOUNT IN ANY FORM OR FASHION. There is no reason for my account to be linked to AT&T and I do not want to make an account or password with AT&T. Please respond ASAP, your customer service in helping me deal with this issue has been absolutely horrible and I will be leaving a report with the BBB.

sbcglobal.net is an at&t owned domain name that's why you are being redirected to AT&T

Sbcglobal.net is an att legacy account and not an yahoo account. Att and yahoo have unmerged these accounts from yahoo -- more to the point have been trying to do that. It's obviously a work in progress and others like you are having the same problem (lots of threads on this like yours recently). Maybe someday they will get it right. In the meantime I suspect yahoo is now trying to redirect the att accounts to att -- right idea, obviously poor execution!
Standard recommendations are (1) change you account password (e.g., Forgot ID/Password although I guess you may have a problem with that) as recommended in the announcement at the top right of this page, and (2) try logging into the att/yahoo webmail using att's own home/portal page, start.att.net, by clicking the mail icon in the upper right of that page.
You could call the Digital Assistance Center (877-273-2728) but I doubt even they can fix this.

Can someone from AT&T please respond to this post and offer specific troubleshooting assistance vs. giving a general contact no. for us to call? A lot of people seem to be unable to access Yahoo/email.
My Yahoo email was originally a subaccount of an AT&T account (@sbcglobal.net) until they became stand alone accounts in December 2017. The AT&T account was most likely emptied out but the emails and contacts stayed with the Yahoo account (any AT&T subaccount would have remained a subaccount under the primary AT&T email account from what I have read on the AT&T website).
Like others, I have not been able to log in to Yahoo for the past two weeks (tried using a different browser, clearing the cache, etc. to no avail). When I try https://loginprodx.att.net the following message pops up: the user ID and password combination you entered does not match our records. Please keep in mind that we are no longer accepting unmerged Yahoo IDs.
I have used my @yahoo.com email address for the past 15+ years. I can access email on my iphone, but I cannot log in to Yahoo on my desktop or laptop, and I can't seem to be able to forward any important documents or emails to another email address.
AT&T, please let me and others know how to resolve this issue. Thank you.

I was having the same problem, I was able to fix it this morning but I don't know if it will work for everyone, I always log in through Yahoo for my att.net email. When you sign in to Yahoo and are then redirected to the Att login page enter your Att email address then reset your password and use the same password you use to get into your Yahoo account.

Thank you, Jojo17. I will call AT&T to see if they can recover my sbcglobal.net account. Haven’t used it in about 3 years, unable to sign in.

If you are using a @yahoo.com email address:
Just visit http://mail.yahoo.com from your phone's browser
if you are using an AT&T Email address like:
username@ameritech.net
username@att.net
username@bellsouth.net
username@flash.net
username@nvbell.net
username@pacbell.net
username@prodigy.net
username@sbcglobal.net
username@snet.net
username@swbell.net
username@wans.ne
You can visit https://mail.yahoo.com/?.partner=sbc
Why yahoo keeps redirecting to at&t? it is because you are using an AT&T (email or account) at YAHOO login Page.

If you're like me, my email account ends in "@yahoo.com" and the re-direct to AT&T was a pain because it was expecting me have an ATT legacy account like att.net or sbcglobal.net.
Problem solved: On the yahoo.com site, I clicked on the "mail" link on the LEFT-HAND side of the page and it then finally allowed me to sign in with my @yahoo.com email address and password.
Otherwise, I was only able to get my @yahoo.com email via my iPhone and I prefer the larger screen of my computer.
