Why do I have to constantly reset my password?
At least three times a month I'll try to open my email on my PC computer and it'll say I've attempted too many logins and am locked out. Never mind the fact I've only logged in once and the information was correct, and I can still access my email on my iPhone using the same login and password.
What gives? Why does this happen so often?

We can explain why you're having to change your password so frequently, sandiegojoey.
This is due to bad actors who are trying to access AT&T email accounts. We're aware that this is happening to quite a few people, and we're currently working on a resolution. You can get more information about why this is happening and what we're doing to fix it in our article that discusses the dreaded 205 error code.
In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting options as a workaround. This has helped some users put an end to the constant password resets.
If you need help with anything else, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Thank you for reaching out to the AT&T Community Forums team.

I've done all of that, I've even gone to the trouble of changing passwords to about 20 of my other accounts, nothing is working, I have to reset my password daily, sometimes multiple times a day. It also happens when I try to login to "MyAT&T" account, so it can't be related to the email, it has to be a software glitch on AT&T's side.
Have you guys come up with a fix yet? I don't want to have to change my email after 20 years.

Same here. I’ve been using att email all my life. MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY EVERY DAY I have to reset my password just to access my email account. I’ve changed the password, cleared saved data, cleared cookies and cache data, etc. This needs to be fixed ASAP!

I am so tired of resetting my password when I change any location I log into AT&T. Login to my email, reset, login to my AT&T app to pay the bill, reset, login to Yahoo to check email, reset, use my HBO Max with AT&T service, reset. This is OUT OF CONTROL and the most frustrating! I find it hard to believe a billion dollar company cannot solve this problem for their customers. Do Better AT&T. This has been going on at least a year.

I just switched to Microsoft Edge, I'll you know if that makes a difference. I was using Google Chrome.
AT&T said it had something to do with hacking attempts, so I changed a ton of my passwords and it didn't help. If this continues I'll begin the painful process of creating a brand new email (not AT&T or Yahoo) and slowly change the email for every website and company I do business with, about 78 of them as of today.
AT&T/Yahoo doesn't seem to care about this issue, just lip service.

Based on the above comments, this is a serious deficiency in AT&T's applications. I have it regularly (not always) when trying to access my email and when trying to log in to U-Verse on my iPhone. I can ALWAYS fix it by going through the "Forgot Password" process (which of course is frustrating, time consuming, and should be unnecessary). But here's the thing...I just "reset" my password to the same one I had previously. The security protocol on the AT&T server does NOT require me to change to a new password. Mind you I do not want to have to actually change my password every time this happens, but the fact that the security protocol allows me to reset it to the same password is an indication that there is an issue on the AT&T side, not mine.

Whenever I clear my history and try to sign in to email the next day I have the same problem. It's been happening since last April.

I think it's safe to say AT&T Yahoo email is no longer a usable email platform, and it's also obvious they will never attempt to fix this problem. It's unfortunate because I've had this email for 20 years and will have to go through the pain staking nightmare of creating a new email address on an entirely different platform other than AT&T or Yahoo (Only a fool would use either) and going into every account I have and changing the email address.
