Why do I receive this message when I HAVE NOT unsuccessfully logged in too many times?:
Looks like you’ve tried to sign in unsuccessfully too many times. Recover your ID or reset your password to continue.
CARE CODE: 205.2 [LU003]
The first time it happened I reset my password. Now a month later I'm getting the same message again. The same thing is happening when logging into my mother's account. I'm using a desktop computer. It is happening in all browsers.
I don't want to have to reset my password again and again.

Consider yourself fortunate. At least you can do the Forgot Password thing. And don't change the password, just enter the same one you've been using as that is acceptable. If you have multiple devices accessing the same account that makes it at least only a mild pain in the butt.
Those who can't get to the change password are the ones with the major problem as AT&T won't reset the password for them because there's no way to authenticate that they're the user....no phone, no secret questions. So they just lose access to the account forever. 😞

Thank you so much! This worked. No issues since I have authentication set up. You've saved me hours of time dealing with ATT on this.

Having same issue as original author. Going through Windows Mail program, I do the forget password thing. It then asks me for email and last name. Then it tells me it can't find me. But I can do this outside of the email program and it finds me perfectly. I usually change the password to the same password as before, no problem. But for some reason in the last month, I can set up the account in Windows Mail, but it won't receive any mail or sync with the server. Also, my email syncing across platforms is no longer. I have my phone and laptop. Not syncing anymore. Been doing that for about 2-3 months now. Any other solutions?
