sbcglobal.net email login verification code going to old number

Hi - Been using this sbcglobal.net  email a long time. When I recently went to login on the web, it wants to send a verification code to an old number I no longer have. No other options. I've got my email and password just no where else to send the code to verify. Weirdly I still have access on my phone but can't really change anything from inside the mail app. How can I add a current email/phone in this scenario? Any help appreciated. Thanks

similar prob here except the number on file is my google voice. it does accept texts but haven't received one from att. when i hit try another method, it sends me back to same page to get a text. Was able to changed pw with recovery account but still get message. "

UPDATE with Solution.

Clear cookies and cache

close and reopen browser

go to att.com/profile

sign in

towards the bottom left there is a "check email box"

click on it

Worked for me. ATT said in a few days it should go back to normal
