SBCglobal email access

Hello I am trying to gain access to an old email account from years ago when I was an internet customer with sbcglobal. I am trying to change my contact info on another platform and they will not let me change anything without access to the email. I have since forgotten the password as it has been some time since it was used. I previously tried to recover the password with the prompts on screen but it said that my account could not be recovered with the provided information.

Enter your user ID and the last name associated with your ID.
Choose your verification method and follow the prompts.
Enter and confirm your new password.
