sbcglobal account has not synced since August. Multiple calls to support lasting hours still have not resolved the problem
My SBCglobal account will not sync.
It will not let me reset the password. I have made multiple calls lasting hours. None of the steps I was directed to do allowed me to get into the SBCGlobal account that ATT froze. In fact one of the steps, clearing my cache, cookies, history etc, really fouled me up because other companies no longer recognized my computer and I couldn't receive their two factor authentication, because my email was not syncing.
Today I was told it was locked forever because it was never set up with two factor authentication, even though that wasn't a thing when I got the account. And even though the SBCGlobal account is listed on my ATT phone/internet account, and they can see it, and it is where my ATT bills are sent, they say it was never actually "linked".
I am beyond frustrated. Where next? FCC? (Edited per community guidelines)?

There still is no 2FA, so just more 🐂💩 from AT&T "support".
Fill out the form HERE.
This will get the FCC to contact the AT&T Office of the President on your behalf. Once the OoP people get the notice they should respond to it within 24 hrs (sometimes even on weekends) and they may be able to get things done. Once you submit, make sure you're ready to get a call from a number that isn't familiar. If you miss it your chances of calling back and getting a successful result goes down.
Good luck!

I had this same issue. First, I did not know I had to create a security key to use outlook or other email apps.
Second, I had 2 ATT email accounts, ATT.net and sbcglobal.net. Both of these were linked to an ATT account that had a separate identity. Unbeknownst to me, ATT had dissociated the emails from the parent account, which was why I could sign onto yahoo with the identity password but was thrown to page not found when trying to retrieve mail.
The solution was to go to currently.com, put in the sbcglobal email address, select forgot password, answer security questions, and reset password. I have not tried getting a security code for outlook.

It would be glorious if that worked for me, unfortunately the Currently site will not let me change the password, or nor will it let me add attach the account to an existing page. I get this, or similar messages across different platforms and instruments.
