password change problem

I cannot change my [email scrubbed] password.

I can log in to my email account and use it OK.

When I got to "account info" to try to change password I get a message to log in to a directv account.  I do not have a directv account.

When I follow the link provided to reset password it get the following error message:

It’s not you, it’s us

"We hit a snag and can’t complete your request right now. Give it some time, then come back and try again later."

I have tried for several days but get the same message.

The reason for trying to reset password was the Equifax reported that the account was found on a suspicious site.  Google recommended that I change password.  Again I can use the account to send and receive email, just cannot change password.
