our email account has been accessed

We have an sbcglobal.net email address with secondary security access by text to our mobile phone.  We have been receiving text alerts with security access codes that we have not asked for.  We changed our password and continued to receive them.  Today when I went to sign into our email account, the request for the security access code included a phone number that was not ours.  Ours was still listed as an option but the other number is unknown to us. It appears that someone has been able to access our passwords and also the ability to now receive the security access code by text message as well.  What steps can we take to lock out others from getting into our email?
