Not getting text from 6-digit numbers with verfication codes

I am unable to get text messages from what I assume are system generated texts from 6-digit numbers. I cannot get into my sbcglobal email account because I am asked to verify its me by putting in a code. I never get the code. When asked for this same information when I go in to pay my bills I don't get the code. I  have to pay my bills without logging in. I have complained about this before, but all support did was send me a text from a regular phone. I can get cell to cell text messages, it is the ones generated with a verification code. 

Can anyone help?
