"Not Found On Accelerator" error message

Both of my xxx.bellsouth.net email accounts will not connect. This happened suddenly after I was prompted to log in.  After verifying user ID's and passwords, I keep getting the "Not Found On Accelerator" error message.

I have both accounts on my iPhone and my iMac.

Let's work on your email connection, @dononly.

We suggest checking to see if your device or application is compatible with OAuth, AT&T's open authentication security feature.

If your device isn't compatible, you'll need to create a secure mail key. This will allow you to connect to your email without needing OAuth compatibility.

  1. Go to Profile and choose Sign-in info.
  2. Select the email account that needs a secure mail key. (You’ll find a menu at the top if you have multiple accounts.)
  3. Scroll to Secure mail key and select Manage secure mail key.
  4. Choose the email address that you’d like to use, if you have more than one.
  5. Select Add secure mail key and then enter a nickname for the secure mail key to make it easier to recognize.
  6. Choose Create secure mail key.
  7. Select Copy secure mail key to clipboard. Make a note of your secure mail key, so you have it handy if you need to update an email app on several devices.
    • For security purposes, the secure mail key only displays until you select OK
    • If you lose or forget the secure mail key, you can create new secure mail keys.
  8. Select OK.
  9. Go to your preferred email app and replace the existing password with your secure mail key. For an IMAP account, delete the existing password for both the IMAP and SMTP servers and replace them with your secure mail key.

If you aren't already, we would also suggest you sign into your email through Currently. It's the best and most reliable way to sign into your AT&T email.

Please let us know if this helps!

Hey @@dononly, let's take a look at your email connection.

We recommend clearing your cache and cookies. It's the most common fix for the Accelerator Not Found error code.

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
  3. Select the items you want to clear.
  4. Select the Delete, OK, Clear, or Clear data button, depending on your browser type.
  5. Close and reopen your browser.

If you're still getting the error code after trying the above, we recommend calling customer support at 800-288-2020.

We hope this helps!

I use Apple mail and do not access email via a browser.  I do have two emails with ".bellsouth.net" extensions.  One of them resumed operation yesterday, the other did not.
