Login to yahoo.com email account
I have a yahoo.com email account that I've used on my phone for many years. I am trying to log in to the account on my laptop and have run into a problem. I go to yahoo mail on the browser, try to log in to my account. Goes to AT&T login screen with my other email address prepopulated. OK, I click to add another account. Enter my yahoo email and password, doesn't work (I'm logged into the account on the phone). I click to reset password, it asks for the username and last name. Enter yahoo email address and my last name, doesn't work. Try email w/o "@yahoo.com", my first name instead of last, no luck. It takes me to another screen, asks for billing Zip (not an at&t customer anymore but try my zip anyway) or recovery email. I try every email I have/have had, and my wife's email and no luck. After all that, am now locked out.
So I'm logged in on the phone but don't know the password (apparently). Don't know of any way to retrieve it from the iphone. Locked out of password reset.
I'm not really thrilled about calling the 800 number, but is that the only way to proceed? Any ideas what else to do?
Any ideas what to do next?

Thanks for the reply. I will try and contact Yahoo. Question, though. As I noted above, when I try to login to Yahoo Mail, I'm sent to an AT&T login screen. I've lost track of all the movements from various domains from company to company but will they be able to explain why that's happening?

Hello, wildthangjim.
We can't say if they'll be able to answer your questions or not, since they're a separate company.
If you need help with anything related to AT&T, we'll be here.

@wildthangjim It sounds like you have both a yahoo.com account and then one or more Yahoo/AT&T email accounts. And when your browser goes to sign in, it's taking you to the AT&T login page.
To login to the yahoo.com account, go to https://login.yahoo.com/ . There's no reason that should redirect you to att.com if you enter your full yahoo.com address.

Tony, thanks for the reply. Yes, I do have both a yahoo and an AT&T flash.net account. I can see now that AT&T and Yahoo have a deal to manage the email domains of both. "Separate companies" as the unhelpful ATTHelp says above, but Yahoo is managing both email domains.
I cleared the browser cookies etc and was able to use the link you provided to login to my Yahoo email. I have to log out of the yahoo account and clear cookies again to log back into the flash account. Apparently I can't have separate tabs with each email account open at once. I've had both accounts for 20+ years, long before they were connected. It will be a pain, but I think I'll switch over to a gmail account as a backup.
thanks again
