Locked Out of sbcglobal.net Email

I have had an email since I was probably 10 years old (back in 2008) that seems to no longer be working. I am currently locked out of it and going through "Forgot Your Password" is not working. It keeps telling me that there is not enough information to recover my account. I don't want to accept that I no longer have access to this email since I still have information I need to access on this email. The email has an " @sbcglobal.net " handle, and obviously sbcglobal has been taken over by AT&T for a long time now. If someone could give me any helpful info on how to recover this account, it would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Are you getting any type of error message when trying to login? If this error is the 205 error code, then we have some information regarding it for you.


The 205 error code is due to bad actors who are trying to access AT&T email accounts. We're aware that this is happening to quite a few people, and we're currently working on a resolution. You can get more information about why this is happening and what we're doing to fix it in our article that discusses the dreaded 205 error code.


Since you've already tried to reset your password, we'd like to invite you to a Direct Message in order to authenticate you and get you logged back into your email.

When I try to log in, it gives me this error code:

"The limit for unsuccessful sign-in attempts has been reached. Select Forgot user ID or Forgot password to restore access.
CARE CODE: 205.2 [LU003]"
When I try to troubleshoot with "Forgot Your Password," and I input my email and last name, it tells me:
"Hmm… we can’t reset your password We don’t have the account details needed to complete your request."
