Locked out of pacbell.net email account
I have once again been locked out of my legacy pacbell.net email account and have received the too many login attempts error message. I was able to briefly regain access recently through the assistance of Caleb Patterson. I am hoping he can again provide a temporary password that will allow me to login. This is still a problem I have only with my Windows 10 email client and on the Yahoo mail website. I still have access through my IOS devices. I do not understand why there is a difference. Thanks for your anticipated help.

The Windows Mail client is currently having issues with Yahoo-based accounts. Microsoft pushed out an update to it in early June and that's when all the trouble began.
You can wait and see if they fix it (although it should be noted that MS has said they would be replacing it with an Outlook-clone fairly soon so maybe no fix is coming) or install Thunderbird which has all of the new authentication features to work with the Yahoo-based accounts.
Or, you can keep using the website although you will have to deal with the Forget Password ordeal on a regular basis.
