Locked out of email

I have been locked out of my sw bell email.  Code 205.2.  Cleared the browser cache/history.  Entered User ID and clicked on forgot password.  Was taken to screen to answer 2 security questions which I never set up.  Was not given the option to request a temporary password to be sent to recovery email.  Have been on hold for an real person - ATT technician - for over 4 hours the past 2 days and currently on hold now for an hour.  Please help!!!!

Same problem, but cannot find a telephone number to call a real person at ATT.

I have called that number several times and only get an automated service with a text reply to "Chat" with a non employee of ATT who gives the same advice as on the web, which does not work

Let's get you logged back into your email again, @EBELINGKC.

 

If you're getting a care code error when signing in to your email, we recommend either waiting 24 hours before trying again or resetting your email password to regain access.

 

You can reset your email password by following these steps:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Resetting your email password should allow you to log back in without issue.

 

Once you recover your login credentials, we recommend you choose a strong password and update security questions and answers. It will help you recover your password with ease should you require a password reset.

 

We suggest that you set up text messaging for password resets. It helps you get a text with your temporary password next time.

I have an old email address that is no longer attached to an account. From back in the hardwired internet days. I get this when I click on forgot my password:

Hmm… we can’t reset your password

We don’t have the account details we need to reset your password right now. To get help, call 800.288.2020.

This account may be old but it's really important.
