Locked out of bellsouth.net email
I'm locked out of my bellsouth.net email address. I can't remember the password and apparently none of the responses for my security questions are correct. I've still got access to my emails on my iPhone though. When trying to reset my password, it always defaults to answering security questions. It doesn't give me the option to get a temporary password. I've tried regaining access for months. Is there anything I can do?
I'm not a current customer so I don't think I can even contact AT&T.

@tonydi thank you for your response. I've filled out the form and submitted. Hopefully it will get their attention. Thanks again!

I have not been able to access my bellsouth.com email account for three days. Early Monday, I opened my email app to check my messages. I had been logged out of my email on my phone (I never log out of it). There was a message that said, "We've noticed activity that suggests your password may be compromised. To keep your info safe, select Forgot password to set a strong, new password". However, nothing I did worked. I even got as far as being sent a code to my cell phone to reset my password. I put the code in and the same message that I typed above appears. My email is my lifeline to two non-profits that I work with, not to mention important personal emails that I have archived. AT&T can't help me. After being on the phone for over an hour, I was basically told to contact Bellsouth! Friends say that either I have been hacked or my email was deactivated for some reason. Please help!

So, I am having the same problem. Tells me my password is incorrect. Click forgot password and says enter email address and last name. Hmmmm....We can't seem to find that information. Call. They tell me my account was locked due too to many tries, but they can't reset. I need to fill out a form and wait 48-72 hours for someone to call. Well 6 days later and no call. Call back and this time get told my account is locked with fraud label. No way to recover. I need to create another account. 20+ years with this account associated with everything I have. Just create a new one. Why last week was I told to fill out form and wait for a call. Oh, I shouldn't have been told that because that will not help. Nope, wrong answer. This is not 1962. Technology should be better than create a new account. I want to talk to supervisor. Supervisor tells me to fill out form. Wait, fill out form that does nothing???? Then she says no, the other girl shouldn't have said that because that's not correct. Then here it comes. ATT had a system breech that effected over 500,000 email addresses and they have all been locked. Only way to get fixed is to wait for a call. But they are very over loaded and taking longer than normal. My account is actually a sub-account of my wife's account, but doesn't matter. And there is another question. How is my wife's account not locked but mine is when mine is a sub of hers. Hmmm. Really sounds like ATT got their ducks in a row.

Someone changed my email password and I have no idea what it is or AT&T's server messed up my password. I tried to recover my password and filled in the two challenge questions, but it says my answers are wrong. I don't think my answers are wrong, but I set up this account almost 20 years ago. I created a new account so that I could post in these forums.
