Locked out of bellsouth.net email account

I’m trying to unlock my wife’s email account with @bellsouth.net domain. It’s acting like it can’t recognize the account when I go through the reset process. She was able to access it a couple of days ago.

I keep getting the message that the limit for unsuccessful sign-in attempts has been reached but I can’t reset the password

This is a known issue we're aware of and are working to resolve as soon as possible. Here's all you need to know about Care Code: 205.2. This includes all the known workarounds and causes.

I have exact same issue with my wife's account which is a sub of mine.  Raiden, Can you please reach out to me as well? I am a retired at&t employee and have run out of self help options and patience.  Thanks

I have the same issue. I called and jumped through all of the hoops to get a technician who said she is unable to help me.  The answers to my security questions are correct. I use(d) this email for so many things that I can no longer do business with. 

I was told that they could not send me a temporary password.

I am having the exact same problem.  Created a sub account for my grandson and accidently put the new e-mail address as the alternate contact and forgot the password.  When we remembered it, it had locked us out with error code 205.2.  It is a sub account under an old bellsouth.net account number different from my current att.net account.  So the account number for bellsouth.net is different.  I can provide that in an email.  The rep I spoke to on the phone was not much help and said I could try again after 24 hours but everywhere I read it will needed to be reset by someone at ATT.  Please help.
