Every time I go on to my AT&T Yahoo account this is what I see constantly:

Sign in

to access AT&T Mail and Currently.com

This is what I see “every” time that I go to log into my email:

Check your entry and try again. Keep in mind, that you’ll have to reset your password after too many unsuccessful sign-in attempts.

So, I play the game. I give them my email address. They then want my last name. I give them my last name. Then I am directed to a screen that says: What is your favorite pastime: I respond with [EDITED]. I am then asked Where did you and your husband meet? I respond with [EDITED]. I am then told to pick out a new password. I give them the very same password that I’ve been using for years. I NEVER CHANGE IT. They love it....they say, “Success” you can now log on to your AT&T account.

In about 2 or three days we play that same game all over again. I again give them the very same password that they would not accept and they are tickled pink. This has been going on now for over a year. Nobody seems to be able to fix it. I don’t want to play this game anymore. I’m done....put a fork into me....I’m done!!!!!

BTW: to get an address to mail an actual letter to AT&T was no small feat. I was turned around four ways to Sunday just looking for an address. You guys are clever. I could have found out what happened to Jimmy Hoffa before I “finally” got any address for AT&T.

Your account has been temporarily locked due to several unsuccessful sign-in attempts. We recommend you update your email security questions and answers. This may help you gain access to resetting your email password.


Follow the steps to update security questions and answers:

  • Go to Profile and then Sign-in info.
  • In the Online security questions section, select Change security questions.
  • Complete and save your security questions and answers.

After updating your security questions, you'll need to wait a full 24 hours before resetting your password. Attempting to sign-in before the full 24 hours will reset the 24-hour timer.


Below are the steps you will take to reset password:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.
