I need help deleting an email.

Initially I registered my AT&T internet account using my old bellsouth.net email I have had for years. That is my main email I am using for everything on the account and that one is fine.

At one point, I created a second Email for work reasons, but I never use that email and want to delete it because when I login to my email, I now get a screen to choose between two emails, and that is an extra step I want to eliminate.

I followed the instructions to create the account as per this article:  Create an AT&T Mail Address for Your Service - AT&T Email Customer Support (att.com)

This part in particular: If you didn’t get an AT&T email when you signed up for AT&T Internet or U-verse TV service, you can create a new one or use one you already have as your user ID. It's easy to do this.

The problem now is that this new email seems to be a primary member ID now in addition to my main user ID. I do not get an option anywhere to delete the email and cannot find any information to delete is. I know you can delete sub accounts, but this one is not a sub account.

I am basically lost now and looking for guidance. So any would be appreciated!

Hello @Dolgorath, we will be glad to help guide you through the steps to delete an email account.

Click here for instructions on how to delete an email address. Once you log into your email account:

  1. Go to Profile.
  2. Select Contact info.
  3. Select the Email tab.
  4. Under Free AT&T email account, select Manage. If you don’t see that option, your email account can’t be deleted.
  5. Next to Member ID, select Delete Account. Select OK.
  6. Confirm that the Status at the bottom of the User Information section now reads Disabled. Your email account has been deleted.

You can delete an AT&T email address if it is not connected to a paid service or if it's been 30-60 days since service was cancelled or disconnected.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to let us know.
