I don't want to change my password every week

I have to change my At&T password several times a month.  I get a message that my password is not recognized, or that I have tried logging in with it too many times.

Hey @JeannineF, we understand how frustrating it is to constantly reset your password. Let's take a look together.

The 205 error code you're seeing is essentially due to bad actors who have been trying to access AT&T email accounts. We're aware this is happening, and are currently working towards a resolution. Learn more about the 205 error code and what we're doing to fix it.

In the meantime, we recommend following these troubleshooting steps:

Clear your browser's cache and cookies to remove any stored password information. Be sure to close and re-open your browser after doing so.

  1. Open your browser.
  2. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
  3. Select the items you want to clear.
  4. Select the Delete, OK, Clear, or Clear data button, depending on your browser type.
  5. Close and reopen your browser.

Reset your pasword using the Forgot password option.

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

Let us know if you need anything else.
