Extremely Frustrated: Cannot successfully log into AT&T Page logs me in but keeps me in a loop of re-selecting my user ID

System allows me to log in then keeps me in a loop where I cannot exist and view my email.

Hi @mlorenz2! We completely understand your concern regarding logging into, and would like to help. Let's get the assistance you require.

In order to fix this, we'd recommend you to follow this below mentioned basic troubleshooting steps.

Keep your info current

Forgot your AT&T Mail password? Want to change it for security reasons? We can help.
There are a few steps to make sure you can easily change or reset your password.

Do you check your email at You’ll always manage your email password on (myAT&T).

Good to know: The password used to sign into your email and myAT&T are the same. If you change your AT&T Mail password, your AT&T user ID password will change, too.
 I don’t know my password

Did you recently change your AT&T user ID password? Try to sign in to your email using your new password. If that doesn’t work, reset your password.

  1. Go to reset your password.
  2. Enter your user ID and the last name associated with your ID.
  3. Choose your verification method and follow the prompts.
  4. Enter and confirm your new password.

I know my password

For security reasons, we suggest you change your password regularly. You can do this on myAT&T.

  1. Go to your myAT&T Profile. Sign in, if asked.
  2. Scroll to Sign in info.
  3. Select Edit next to Password.
  4. Enter and save your password info.

Access your email on the web

  1. Go to
  2. Select Mail.
  3. Enter your email address and password.
  4. Get your authentication security code. If you have more than one phone number on your account, choose which number should get your code.
  5. Enter the code and click Submit to sign in.

Check for browser issues

  • Open AT&T Mail in a different web browser. For example, if you normally use Google Chrome®, try Firefox®.
  • Verify that your browser accepts cookies. If so, clear your cookies and cache. You’ll find this info in your browser's Preferences, Settings, or Options menu.
  • Enable JavaScript, and make sure it’s up to date. You’ll find it in your browser’s Settings or Options menu.
  • Disable browser tools or add-ons to see if they’re causing issues with email access.
  • Enable Adobe Flash Player and make sure it’s updated.
  • Check the settings of your firewall, antivirus programs, and anti-spyware software. They can cause a conflict with email programs and web browsers. Disable them one at a time and try to access your email. Don't forget to turn them back on once you know they aren’t causing the problem.

I apologize for sounding rude but but your template-based response is not helpful. I found all of the information that you provided on the AT&T site. Please also note that some of the information that is being provided is horribly out of date:

"Adobe stopped supporting Flash Player on December 31, 2020, and removed its download page two days later. Adobe also blocked Flash content from running in Flash Player on January 12, 2021, to help protect users' systems."

Hey @mlorenz2, we understand you’re unable to log in to, we hear you and let's team up and change this experience for you.

  • In your browser, try opening a private browsing or incognito window and logging in. You can find this option in your web browser’s menu. If this works, try clearing your browser's cookies and cache to solve the problem.
  • Log in from another computer or device if possible. Does it allow you to log in there? If so, try rebooting the first computer/device and trying again.

We recommend you to check on how to resolve email issues.

Thank you for reaching out on AT&T Community & Forums!
