Exasperated! I have to change my email password almost daily. I have tried clearing the cache, etc etc

I am really frustrated, as almost daily I receive the message that I have "tried too many times," when I have only tried once and I am positive that I entered the password correctly.  I have followed the directives that you have given above and nothing works. It occurs with both Chrome and Edge. (Using Windows 11.)

Thank you.

We understand how you feel about having to reset your password so frequently, EstherRoberts.

We're aware that this is happening for many email users, and we're working on a resolution. We don't have an estimated time frame for when it will be fixed, but we're doing all we can.

If you need help with anything else in the meantime, just let us know.

Thank you so much for your helpful response.  I do hope that the issue is resolved soon, as it has been ongoing for quite an extended period.

It's affecting many people.

"Change" your email address but use the same one you are already using.

@TexasBrit to be clear you are saying to change my EMAIL address, not my password?

I want to tread very carefully as to not get locked out permanently.

Yes, I'm sure TexasBrit meant password.

No one at ATT will admit it, but people at their brick and mortar stores have told me that ATT is harassing free email customers (ATT, pacbell, sbcglobal, etc) to leave. ATT has decided that they don't make enough money on ads to continue whatever small support is needed to keep these going. (Edited per community guidelines).

🤦‍♂️

No one at AT&T will admit it because it's not true.

It's laughable that you think anyone at an AT&T wireless store would have any clue about something totally outside of their world.  They're barely able to give you straight info on the product they sell.

This is just another inane conspiracy theory that comes up almost every time there's some sort of issue with the Yahoo/AT&T mail service (and that happens a lot!).  If this were the case, then why would they "target" just a tiny fraction of the millions of people with AT&T email accounts?
