email login unsuccessful

Every couple of weeks I get kicked out of AT&T and have to re-login.  Every time I re-login, I get this error message and I have to completely re-set my password.

Looks like you’ve tried to sign in unsuccessfully too many times. Recover your ID or reset your password to continue.

If you look at the post listings here you'll see many hundreds of users with the same issue, some having it as far back as last October and yet still no fix in sight.

Don't change the password just enter the same one you've been using so you don't have to go change it on your other devices.

I have no other option than to change the password.  Every time I enter the same one I've been using, it tells me I have tried too many times.

I have the same issue.  I go to log in, and immediately get a message that I have tried to log in too many times unsuccessfully except I haven't' even entered my id or password.  I have to click on Reset password.  I enter the exact same password I have used and it accepts it.  My phone keeps me logged in until I have to reset on my PC.  Once I reset my password to the exact same password I have been using in order to access my mail on my PC, then I have to login on my phone again.   So It is a pain in the butt to have to do this every day or so - first reset my password on my PC then do it again on my phone.  I have used different browsers, different computers, cleared cache, unsaved passwords - you name it.  I might get 48 hours before required to reset but only if I'm lucky.  If this doesn't get fixed soon, I am going to have to forego using my sbcglobal.net email address and just go with a gmail account.  This is way too time consuming and annoying to have to keep doing this.  There is no excusable reason for this to have gone on this long with as many people who are reporting it as there is.

Yes, the "bad actor" excuse is wearing thin since if that's true and there isn't some additional problem then this should have been squashed weeks ago. 

At least you can still get into your account and are able to take advantage of the Gmail import tool to bring your stuff over from the sbc account. 

I feel so bad for those who are totally locked out of their long time accounts through absolutely no fault of their own.

Here it is 4/30/2023 and for past several months I have been consistently made to change my email address and I am tired of it. I am at sbcglobal.net and no where can you connect with someone who works on website issues. HELP.
