care code 205.2

Like many others who've posted comments to the AT&T online community forum, i have been in the circular reference nightmare of care code 205.2 when trying to log into my highspeed internet fiber account via the "MY ATT" app on my iphone or through the "sign in" portal via the ATT.COM website. Disclaimer: I NEVER merged my wireless account with my highspeed internet, the two accounts remain standalone. I can't imagine what issues merging the two would be causing me over and above my care code 205.2 ones).
Anyways, after reading @Stradalite 's comments from today (7-19-2022), regarding the requirement for "reconfiguration of the profile settings" on ATT's end . . . I called the NEWEST number for the Digital Assistance Center (1-877-285-0117, prompt 2) and a representative was able to "sync" my log in credentials (userid = my att.net email address) with my existing password. While the rep remained on the line with me, we verified that I was able to log into both "MY ATT" app on the iphone AND via the ATT.COM website on a laptop.
Wanted to post my two cents in the event it would be of any help to any others who continue to be stuck inside the CARE CODE 205.2 nightmare.
