Can't login to sbcglobal.net

I understand that the domain has been retired. BUT I'm still getting email on my phone & the domain but can't login on the computer when redirected to the login screen. When I do the "forgot userID", it sends me my email that I'm trying to login with. The login page just never goes anywhere from "user id". I hit continue & nothing happens. I would like to talk to a person somehow - I guess chat since I can't access my email on the computer. If I have to get a new account, I'd like to transfer the messages over, if possible.

Hi there, @alisform! We're here to help you gain access to your email from your computer.

We've got a great article that covers everything you need to know about resolving email issues. Here are some of the troubleshooting steps we suggest taking:

  • Make sure that you're logging into your email via Currently. Since it's supported by AT&T, doing so can help to eliminate a host of log in issues.
  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies. This can clear up any stored data that may be contributing to your log in troubles.
  • Open AT&T Mail in a different web browser. For example, if you normally use Google Chrome, try Firefox.
  • Try using a different device. This will help us to determine if the log in issue is device related, or isolated to your computer.
  • Enable JavaScript, and make sure it’s up to date. You’ll find it in your browser’s Settings or Options menu.
  • Disable browser tools or add-ons to see if they’re causing issues with email access.
  • Enable Adobe Flash Player and make sure it’s updated.
  • Check the settings of your firewall, antivirus programs, and anti-spyware software. They can cause a conflict with email programs and web browsers. Disable them one at a time and try to access your email. Don't forget to turn them back on once you know they aren’t causing the problem.

Let us know if this helps. If not, we may need to move this conversation to a more private space so that we can get our Email Support team involved.

Ok. I tried all that. I just won't go further than User ID. It never even gets past that to ask for a password. It's like it's stuck. I'm currently using Safari. I usually use Chrome.

Ok, it worked on Chrome from Yahoo.com - after trying "use a diff browser" & make sure you're logging into Currently. So you might want to check on Safari.
