Can't access sbcgloba.net account
I am going in circles trying to get into my 15 year old http://sbcglobal.net account that connects me to all of my website/banking verifications and personal emails that I filed away to remember my children's milestones--essentially their baby books. I have called 4 different people and get the impression that if I have a free account, they will not help me reset my password. One One person said they could text me a temporary password reset, but I never received the text. Another said they would connect me with a manager and hung up on me. I just need access into my account so I can get my things and transfer everything out. There has to be a way in that involves one phone call to an actual human who can help me.

Let us see if we have the option to reset your password, so you can regain access to your email, divaboots.
To keep your information secure, we will send you a private message. Look for the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the page.

This did not lead to a solution. It led me to another dead end which is about to cause financial hardship. I can't access my account to change the payment on my life/health insurance payments since my debit card is about to expire. This has created a massive mess for me and I have had to stop my life to take care of it. Not cool and considering getting a lawyer.

@khanson I am sorry that you are going through this too. As of now, I am still being sent it circles that only lead to dead ends. I am communicating with an agent through twitter (@at&t help) that seems to be a possibility. I feel so bad for the customer service agents who have to stonewall all the people who are having this issue.

How can I get a link to reset my sbcglobal.net pw? I spent 4 hrs on the phone on sunday with tech support (supposedly) & they goofed up my sbcglobal.net acct so now I don't even have security questions to answer to be able to reset my password. Help me please. I've had that email for 15+ years.

Has anyone found a solution to the sbcglobal email issue?! I too have been trying to reset my password and get my email back since November 2022 (after my email was hacked). I was initially told that I needed to provide a phone number and wait 30 days to 'authenticate my identity" (which I did). After the 30 days was up, I called tech support back and was informed that this did not work because my phone number was "not an ATT phone" and I needed to get an ATT phone and wait another 30 days. Because I have had my email account for so many years and desperately wanted my information back, I met their 'demands' and purchased a wireless plan through ATT. I then provided the new ATT phone number to tech support and was told that in 30 days I would be all set and will be able to reset my password and get my email back. Today (after waiting another 30 days), I tried to reset my password again without success. I then called tech support again and after another hour on the phone and paying over $200 on a phone plan I don't need (essentially blackmail $$), I was told that this was not going to work either. The tech support representative (who was very kind and empathetic to my situation) informed me that effective September 2022, they are unable to reset passwords for sbcglobal accounts (and mentioned that this has impacted "thousands' of customers). I cannot believe that there is no work around or method to get email back. I am willing to provide any documentation necessary to get back this very important information back. Please advise on other options. Thank you.
