Cannot sign into sbcglobal.net email

I have been logged out of my email account on my phone app, when I try to sign in it directs me to an AT&T page. The AT&T sign in does not recognize my email. I need help with logging in to access my emails

Hi there, @User89. We can help you with your email access. 

 

First and foremost, you need to do a password reset. A password reset is always the first step to correct any email access concern. Here are the steps that you need to follow:

  1. Go to att.com/myatt.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

For email apps, what we would like to offer is what is called OAuth or "Open Authentication". The aforementioned article has a list of programs and apps that use OAuth. We do suggest that you check it out. If your app is on the list, the way to use OAuth is, by creating a Secure Mail Key. This article will walk you through the process step-by-step.

When I try to reset my password, it asks for my user name which I’m assuming is my email and my last name, but then says the information does not match. This is so frustrating and annoying to experience

I received your message and followed the instructions, and get the following message “the limit for unsuccessful sign-in attempts has been reached. Select forgot user ID or forgot password to restore access. Care code: 205.2. [LU003]
