Cannot log in. Says too many attempts.
I have been trying to log into my email account for 2 days. Says too many attempts, although I've only tried about 5 times each day. My user name and password are correct. I can't log in to change the password. How can I change the password without logging in?

One other comment...we are paying customer (AT&T internet). You would think AT&T would at lest take care of their paying customers!!

I continue to be extremely unhappy with AT&T. They've not been able to resolve this issue and now, 11 days after I reset my password, and regained control of my email, I'm blocked again with the same error message. AT&T - YOU NEED TO FIX THIS NOW!

@DC9876 , the only work around I have found is to reset password and use the same password you have been using. And then 2 weeks later you have to do it again. I agree that AT&T needs to do something NOW!! What is very irritating is that my wife and I share our email and so when I reset the password, my wife losses access on her iPhone and vice versa. Not good customer service on AT&T’s part for sure!

I cannot believe this just keeps on happening, I've been in a loop for weeks, have to reset my password every time I want to see my email and there is no way to have it on both my phone and my laptop? Why something as simple as signing in to my email no longer works is infuriating. Has anyone found any answers?

Hi,
I had been having this problem. I tried google chrome and microsoft edge. Now I switched to firefox and pleasantly so far I was able to check the email without having to reset the password, at least twice. Maybe somehow chrome and edge are trying to check the emails automatically and sending blank passwords and hence the problem. Why I am saying blank password is that chrome started having this concept of profiles recently and quite often I use the guest profile. Obviously it does not cache the passwords (in other profiles even if I decide not to store passwords, this problem was happening). So in short, try firefox.

I've been having this issue for awhile as well. The dreaded message pops up about every two weeks and there's no option but to change my password, then change it on my phone as well. I was reading about unlinking AT&T from Yahoo, in case it was AT&T's issue, but from everything I've read it seems Yahoo is just as bad, and now they are looking to charge for their Yahoo+ service. AT&T, in the time since you have been uncoupling from Yahoo, why haven't you come up with a different (better) email service partner?

I'm getting the message on my phones web browser but not my Windows 10 desktop. Why are they doing this? I don't want to change my password and I've not logged in on the phone in ages and the same account info work on the desktop. ???

Same ! I just have to "change" my password, by entering the same one so that I can avoid having to re-enter it on my phone. I have contacted multiple AT&T customer service reps.... most of them act like its just my issue. I have 2 email addresses and my sbcglobal.net is the constant problem... but my att.net is fine. I really don't want to switch all my personal emails from sbcglobal over to att.net, but I may be forced to.
