Cannot access sbcglobal.net email account
I have an @sbcglobal.net email account. In late November, I purchased new tablet and after trying to add my email account on that device, I've been locked out of my email account and can do nothing to fix the problem. I've done everything from waiting 24 hours or several days between logins, to calling tech support who didn't assist me at all and stated that I needed to go to an AT&T store to reset it with no explanation, to clearing cache/cookies, using different browsers and modes (incognito), spending hours reading through internet forums for solutions and nothing works. Most of the forum posts are old with fixes that are no longer available and the more recent posts from others in the same situation as I am typically lack any replies at all. I tried logging in from myATT, Currently, and Yahoo! Mail only to be redirected to the same page with the same unsuccessful outcome.
I'm only able to receive email messages from the account on one of my devices (a different tablet), but when I try to add it elsewhere, I'm getting error messages "Care Code: 205.2 [LU003]" and account locks. That tablet is older, however, and I had to upgrade to a newer device, so going back and forth between devices is a temporary solution. I don't want to remove or adjust any settings on the older tablet out of a fear that I will completely lose access to the email account I've had for 15+ years. The password I entered was valid and it worked before this. I'm unable to reset the password and the only option given is answering the two security questions, they are being rejected as well. I get the "Hmm... that didn't work. Check your entries and try again." message over and over again.
I had a similar issue a couple of years ago, but was able to reset my password in less than an hour with assistance from tech support. They sent me a temporary password and I was able to successfully sign in. Is there anything I can do to restore access to my email account or is it too late? It is so frustrating to go through this when I did nothing wrong in the first place. As stated earlier, this has been my primary email account for many years and its important that I am able to access it again. At this point, I'm begging and pleading for any assistance or some type of exception that will allow me back in. Please?
