bellsouth.net email pass word locking out

since March 6, 2022, I have had to reset my password 11 times- when I go to my account, and attempt to login, the error message will indicate that I have tried to log in too many times and need to reset my password. I have tried leaving my computer logged in - good for about 1 to 2 weeks and then the password locks out. Per my last call to ATT Technical help, I tried logging out after every access - lasted 1-2 weeks before locking out. I tried switching browsers - same thing, I tried going directly to https://www.yahoo.com, same thing. For several months, while accessing my account through the computer would give me the periodic lock out, accessing my account via the Iphone mail app always worked - now that is locking out after a few weeks. When I called in to the email technical desk (~8/16/22) they said there was something wrong at the server level and a fix was to be working and I would be notified when it is fixed. I have not received any such notification.

Prior to March 2022, I had not changed my password in years.

You are lucky.  I had to reset nearly that many times in the last week.  It happens at least daily and often more than once a day.

It is a "known problem" to AT&T but not one they see as a real problem.

The fact that passwords successfully repel hackers apparently is the problem to AT&T, not that they are choosing to deny paying customers of service.  They are also trying to force us onto Yahoo Mail app then pay additional fees to remove the barrage of ads any user faces when using it.

If they cared, they would have fixed this problem months or years ago.
