bellsouth.net email issue
I have had a bellsouth.net email address for around 20 years when my parents first got att DSL internet service. Since then I have had my own att accounts for mobile and internet and currently have ATT fiber. Having my own att accounts required me to set up att.net email addresses that I really dont use, I have just always used the bellsouth address. For the past several months I have not been able to access the bellsouth email. When I attempt to sign in via the web on currently.com using the bellsouth.net email address and the password which I know to be correct as I have it saved I get an error message stating that the limit for unsuccessful logins has been reached. It showes a CARE code 205.2. A google search of that code shows that I am one of many having this issue. Attempting to reset my password by entering the bellsouth.net email and my last name doesnt work as I get an error stating "hmm that didnt work, check your entries and try again". Clicking forgot your user id is no help either as it says the bellsouth.net email isnt recognized. All of the threads on this forum where a person states the same issue I am having end with an ATT rep asking to handle it via direct message, but there is never a solution posted. Has anyone figured this out???

Hello jcull, we will be happy to offer a helping hand with your email error you are receiving.
Since you are getting that error, we would recommend waiting 24 hours. Once that has passed, try resetting your email password. To see if it gives you access back. You can do so by following these steps:
Meanwhile, you can have a reference for the care code 205.2
Please let us know if it helped.

I have been attempting this for months. When attempting to reset the password, I enter my user id - which i assume is my bellsouth.net email and then my last name and get this error "Hmm... that didn't work.
Check your entries and try again."
