account login difficulty and Care Code 205.2 {LU003}, have to reset password every day

Every time I go to login into my ATT account at www.att.net to check e-mail, I get a screen saying multiple attempts have erroneously been made to login so the password has been suspended, and it gives me a Care Code 205.2 {LU003} with the message.  This happens every day.  I have called Customer Support twice and get a run-around.  This happens on different computers, and with different browsers being used to access the www.att.net or att.com web pages.  Is this perhaps a computer hacker program pinging my login every day, trying to hit the password or a DoS type attack?  Or, as I more suspect, is there something funky with the ATT software?  I can reset my password each time, using the "forgot my password" link and then get into my e-mail account, but it's a major pain and I would like to resolve this.  I don't want to cancel or abandon my "[email scrubbed]" e-mail address I've been using for years but I'm close to doing so, given two very lengthy calls to Customer Support without any resolution being provided.
