Password Problems

I do not login to very often; I login once a month to download my bill, and I occasionally login to see my spam fo9lder.  I read my mail via the Thunderbird Mail User Agent.  It seems that almost every time I try to login, the AT7T system will not accept my password. I get an error code   [Care Code: 205.2 [LU003]].  I have no idea why this is happening.  I have no idea if someone is trying to login to my account and causing the password to be disabled.  When this happens, I have to call 1-800-288-2020.  In the past few weeks sometimes when I call, the automated system has given me a new password, sometimes it does not, and I have to talk to a live human.  Tonight I talked to a live human, and she told me that, due to security concerns, she was unable to give me the new password over the phone.  My new password would be sent via USPS, and I should receive it within five days.  I received two e-mails from at&t stating that my password had been changed.  THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!  If I were to call the 800 number again, I would get another password reset via USPS, changing the one to which mu call tonight set it.  (I am assuming that no one who reads this posting has any authority to do anything about this situation.)

We understand that not being able to log in to your email can be frustrating, @bsfinkel.


This is a known issue, and we are working to resolve it as soon as possible. We encourage you to learn all about Care Code: 205.2, which includes workarounds and causes.
