New emails go directly to 'Trash' folder instead of 'Inbox'

My new emails go directly to the Trash folder instead of the Inbox.  I have no idea why.  It started when we took a trip out of state 3 years ago.  I don't see anything in Settings to address it.  How can I get new emails directed to the Inbox like they should be?

  1. go to currently.com
  2. Click on the mail icon in the upper right
  3. log in as necessary
  4. Click on Settings * in the upper right
  5. Click on ••• More Settings in the lower right
  6. Click on Filters (on the left)
  7. Make changes as necessary.

If you do not see "Settings *" in the upper right, but instead see the text "Switch to the Standard Version of AT&T Yahoo Mail", click on that text, then click on Settings *.

Hi @jaxon777! We completely understand your concern regarding emails directed to trash folder, and would like to help. Let's get the assistance you require.

Try logging into Currently and checking the folders there. You can also check to see if any filters have been applied using Currently.

Filters

  1. Select the gear.
  2. Choose Filters and then Add new filters.
  3. Edit new or existing filters and select Save.
  4. Choose other options:
    • Use the up and down arrows to prioritize your filters.
    • Select the trash can to delete a filter.

You can also visit folders and filters to organize your email for more information.

Let us know so we can assist further if needed!

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums,

I have the same problem only  the emails are going into Archive.  I tried this and many other suggestions, but when I select the settings icon (gear) I DO NOT get an option for "filters".  Other suggestions said to select settings, then more settings to get to the filters option - again, I don't have a "more settings" option.  HELP!

Thanks for reaching us @Dewsmom.

We understand your concern about the filter settings navigation. Let's get the assistance you require.

  • In the upper-right corner, select the Gear, and choose More Settings to access Settings.
  • On the Settings menu, from the left-hand column, select Filters.
  • Check for any existing filters that may have triggered, causing messages to route to a specified folder.

If you were unable to locate the filter option, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help.

Thank you.

As I stated, there is no "more settings" option.  Here is the screen I get:

  • Account
  • Payments
  • Bill
  • Settings
  • Profile

Thanks for writing back to us @Dewsmom.

We get it and let's point you in the right direction.

Double-check your email settings first, then try log in on another device or browser to see if that helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you.

Well, I logged in through another browser, and still no "filters" or "more settings".  Any other ideas?

Yeah!!! It worked!!  After three months of struggling my inbox issue is finally solved!  Of course in the meantime I had to change my password and now need to update it on my phone and tablet, but the end of my problem is in sight!

Thank you, thank you, thank you
