Legitimate emails suddenly going to junk folder

Hi,

I am having a problem the past week with legitimate emails from friends and relatives going to the junk folder.  I have tried the following:

(1) these senders are in my contacts

(2) I have marked them "not spam" at the ATT mail/Yahoo Mail site.
(3) I have made filters for each of these senders indicating their emails need to go to my inbox.

It is still happening. I am frustrated to the point of thinking of going to another email service.  I DON'T want to do this as I have had this email address for years.

My domain is bellsouth.com and I use Yahoo Mail app on my phone and tablet.  I sometimes visit Att.net for mail (Yahoo Mail)l on computer, but I do also import mail with Thunderbird.  The issue is happening in the app, at the ATT.net website, and in Thunderbird.

I will add that my best friend who is also an ATT customer, has the bellsouth.com domain is having the same exact issues - for the same exact time period.  Is this an ATT glitch or known problem??

HELP!! (and thanks)

Same here, not sure what new filter that AT&T are using but we have too many email that are legit going to spam, even when clicking the "not spam" icon.

Pleas fix.

paulfhme Agree completely - I am also assuming it is either a new filter or a glitch since it is effecting several people.  I sure hope it is fixed soon!!

@ATTHelp   I am an AT&T customer -- Bellsouth was our old phone provider name and we were grandfathered in.  So this is actually an AT&T customer issue.  Does AT&T no longer provide support for email??  My webmail is located at att.net -- it is powered by Yahoo Mail but it is an AT&T product.  And I am paying good money for AT&T internet services, including email.

BTW link from the AT&T website that shows email domains serviced by AT&T, including Bellsouth.  I was a Bellsouth customer until Bellsouth was bought out by AT&T.  https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1066842/

@daisy3858 @paulfhme

Ignore ATTHelp Donovan.  If you contact Yahoo they will immediately point you back to AT&T "support".  AT&T really could not care less about email, I think they view it as doing us a favor by providing it and are incapable of fixing problems at the Yahoo end even if they could.

Somewhere down the line Yahoo will accidentally trip over this and fix it and never mention a word about what was wrong.

In the meantime, all you can do is create Filters for specific users to put the emails back in your inbox and also keep a close eye on the spam folder for other legit emails going there in error.

@tonydi  Thanks for writing. I did create those filters so hope they start working.

I did go to att.net and click on mail there, which pulls up AT&T email powered by Yahoo Mail.  Clicked on "help" and it redirected me right back to the AT&T site!

Yup, same here. Anyone reading this: check your spam filter EVERY TIME you check your email. It's very likely you're missing legit messages if you don't.
