How can I access my old, inactive att.net/yahoo email?

I had att.net email for years, and then after it transitioned to yahoo. I was messaged that the service would be discontinued, so I switched to another email provider.  I would like to access the att/yahoo inbox to have the mail forwarded.  To complicate matters, I'm not sure I remember the password.
