Help - Not Found on Accelerator Description: Your request on the specified host was not found. Check the location and try again.

I noticed my app wasn't loading my email account yesterday and when I logged in, it said it sent me a code to my email account .  When I went to my laptop to log in it gave me the following message

Not Found on Accelerator

Description: Your request on the specified host was not found. Check the location and try again..

I contacted AT&T tech support and they said they resynced my account and all looked well and it was a temporary issue and to try to log back in later.  I've tried and it's the same message.  I've looked online and this seems to be an ongoing issue with accounts and doesn't resolve on its own.

Can you assist in clearing this message?

Hey @tbanz, thank you for reaching out to us, we understand that you’re unable to log in to your email and getting an error, we’re here to help.

We recommend clearing your cache and cookies. It's the most common fix for the Accelerator Not Found error code.

We also suggest checking to see if your device or application is compatible with OAuth, AT&T's open authentication security feature.

If your device isn't compatible, you'll need to create a secure mail key. This will allow you to connect to your email without needing OAuth compatibility.

  1. Go to Profile and choose Sign-in info.
  2. Select the email account that needs a secure mail key. (You’ll find a menu at the top if you have multiple accounts.)
  3. Scroll to Secure mail key and select Manage secure mail key.
  4. Choose the email address that you’d like to use if you have more than one.
  5. Select Add secure mail key and then enter a nickname for the secure mail key to make it easier to recognize.
  6. Choose Create secure mail key.
  7. Select Copy secure mail key to clipboard. Make a note of your secure mail key, so you have it handy if you need to update an email app on several devices.
    • For security purposes, the secure mail key only displays until you select OK
    • If you lose or forget the secure mail key, you can create new secure mail keys.
  8. Select OK.
  9. Go to your preferred email app and replace the existing password with your secure mail key. For an IMAP account, delete the existing password for both the IMAP and SMTP servers and replace them with your secure mail key.

If you aren't already, we would also suggest you sign into your email through Currently. It's the best and most reliable way to sign into your AT&T email.

Please let us know if this helps!

I am having the same issue.  I did all of the above including clearing my cookies and cache in Thunderbird (using POP3 format) and still is not working.  This all worked after I created my secure key last night and the email worked up until about 1 hour ago, not I get the above response from your system.

Is the AT&T system down or having some kind of technical difficulty lately after that national shutdown a few days ago?
