Email Does Not Function Easily Like it Use To
These are recent new problems I constantly encounter on a daily basis, although not all the time... (sbcglobal.net). I've cleared my cache, I've changed my password.
-When selecting a folder, it indicates there are 'x' documents, but when opening up, the response is, 'the folder is empty'. When I log out and try again, the documents appear and open.
-When using refresh, I get logged out.
-When trying to read an email, I will get a message that the file can't be opened, even though I've opened it earlier in the day, or will be able to later in the day.
-When trying to delate some emails, I get an error message that it can't be deleted. And they are not deleted.
I have an att.net account also and don't seem to have these problems as often. But I'm jumping between the two all day long for different business reasons and this is so frustrating.

Same exact thing is happening to me. It doesn't seem like there's an explanation. Only lots of people with problems,

After removing Adblock and replacing with Adblock Plus, some of my other problems went away, such as the names of my folders being transparent.
The current problems appear to be a timeout situation where the folders appear to be empty if a leave email and come back later. Once I log out and log back in, they are full again. I don't have this problem with using my iPhone, just the laptop.

Same problem - using Firefox 102, @sbcglobal.net.
It's timing out, sometimes within minutes - regardless of whether you've checked "keep me logged in."
But you can't tell you're logged out - switching folders will give the "empty" message, but otherwise messages will open.
Composing a message and hitting send APPEARS to work - but it doesn't. That email will not be sent, and is not in drafts or sent. Dangerous.
This all started about two weeks ago (late June 2022)

You said, "Let us know if this helps."
It does not.
The problem described above (and in many other messages, it seems) persists -- VERY short timeout but with no way to know that a session has timed out.
The latter point is critical: if you are in the browser, and email is open, you can compose, and even send, a message -- it won't be in Sent or Drafts, because YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY LOGGED IN, though you appear to be. Bottom line: you lose the work you were drafting/sending.
This situation needs to be fixed and soon. No way an email system in 2022 needs to be such a sorry mess.
