Let's get your email sorted, .

We recommend checking out our article on Email Troubleshooting, as it has some great tips on getting your email back up running. Tips include:

  • Clear Cache and Cookies - The most common fix
  • Update Your Browser - many features are only compatible with the latest browser and we recommend updating it
  • Test signing in to your webmail using another browser
  • Disable browser tools or add-ons - varies by device and browser
  • Disable your firewall - varies by device and browser

Please let us know if you're still unable to view your backup folders after trying these tips.

Jennifer, tried all these solutions. But still getting problems. Thought had it was fixed this afternoon BUT new issue came up . Replying to an email would not send. A draft folder message came up (could not save as draft - well i didnt want to in the first place but wouldn't release the messsage to the sent folder. Worked Ok earlier on the day though..

I can' t keep trying to debug the system and copy and paste error messages. that's an ATT/Yahoo job. More users are experiencing the problems posted on this Forum as well as other sites Checkout

https://www.product-reviews.net/down/yahoo-mail-problems/

Same thing.

This is crazy And it just started to happen. Somebody at ATT/Yahoo made some changes with out checking first how the system would be affected.

Escalate this and get us all backon track.

I completely concur with this message.  I created this login just to make this comment.  I am so sick and tired of the (Edited per community guidelines) that ATT has done to make the Yahoo email account I have had for about 15 years now basically unusable.  I have to continually reset passwords between different browsers and apps.  I am so over it, I am finally deleting all ATT accounts associated with this and moving my email somewhere else.  Dont bother responding that we are so sorry to hear this.  They also need to put DISLIKE buttons on posts for Community Support articles.  Not just here, but on all the big tech sites.   Solutions Marked as complete, with no solutions.  What a joke.  For the amount of $ we are charged as customers, yes, its a joke and youre a bunch of clowns.  This is me, waving bye bye to your circus.

My problem is with logging on using my laptop. Every time I try to log-on with my laptop AT&T doesn't recognize my Yahoo email account. All the ISO devices don't seem to have any issues. Funny how that works.

I too am fed up with the help desk telling me that their working on the issues concerning Yahoo Email accounts. How long does it take? This has been going on for close to 3 months now.

Elmi - System is still very very very fragile. See my conversations with Donovan last week ending July 2, 2022. Was a bit better through the week if I did a refresh and a work around but today a message in process (unfinsihed) was not automatically saved as a draft and got lost to some where. Used to be a good feature, I could open a message in draft and add to it or change and then do a send Had to recreate (start all over again) the message from memory (my brain) and wasted much time.

I see today other users are also continuing to have problems all different issues.

Is there an update link available or in the works which gets the system back to the way it was =  one of the better ones.

Still no broadcast message to users as to solutions or that you are working on a fix or fixes. You guys have changed something  but seems as though you don't know what you have changed.

Advise please.

Hi Elim,

Just tried to logon to the AT&T system and after 3 attempts it wants me to reset my password. There is no reason for me to creat a new password every time I want to login. When you say DM, are you talking about direct messaging? Sorry today is Sunday even though I received your message on Saturday. If you really read my message on the forum.att.com it is self explanatory. Like one of the other Yahoo email users stated go back to what was working an stop trying to improve it!

I'm posting on behalf of my mother who's been a loyal email customer of bellsouth's email for 15 years at this point ... about 3 months ago, something DRASTICALLY changed for the worse with all of the errors above mentioned. emails won't load, drafts get self deleted, logins kick her out when they were fine previously.

She is considering switching to protonmail at my recommendation. If you wish to keep customers, please tell us a working solution.

There is no solution at this point.  Switch, don't look back.

Problems still persist.  Every couple of days the system logs you out (for your protection) then when you go to log you back in, this is what you get.  Every, single time.

Looks like you’ve tried to sign in unsuccessfully too many times. Recover your ID or reset your password to continue.
CARE CODE: 205.2 [LU003]

I am going to start invoicing AT&T for hourly charges that I spend labor hours fixing what they broke.

edit:  care code.  thats hilarious.  they really dont care, otherwise this would have been fixed a long time ago since this has been happening for over a year.

Temporary solution that worked for my mother: switching back to the "old" browser version.

Check Settings in the top right menu, and I think it's somewhere in the "account settings" there's a little toggle switch to (temporarily) switch back to the old browser version of ATT yahoo mail.  All the glitches stopped (for now?) when back on the old/basic version.

Still moving her to protonmail within a month.

@anonymous3553   Which of the multiple Yahoo issues did this fix?

I don't see how it fixes the "too many failed attempts" problem because you still have to log in through the AT&T system.  At that point Yahoo has no idea which version of Yahoo Mail it's going to display to you, "Basic" or the regular version.

I've posted the problem of "too many failed attempts" and forcing a p/w change many times, and it still continues, probably every 2-3 times I try to access my att.net email using the Yahoo Webmail.  But it also happens when I try to sign into my att.net account from my PC to pay bills or manage my account.  I asked in another post if this could be an indication of possible repeated hacks by someone actually trying to get into my account.  <crickets>  That, too, worries me.  And from how no one seems to have an answer to this "too many failed attempts" question, my brain only tells me that, in fact, there HAVE been failed attempts by someone other than me to log into my account.  Does anyone else think the same? My email has also become more rampant with spam/junk, the kind you can't block because the sender spoofs or masks their originating email address so neither Outlook nor the native Yahoo mail app can 'key onto' a real address or domain to block.  I'm seeing about 15-20 of these emails each day, which I can only delete, not drag into a Junk, Bulk, Bulk Mail, or Spam folder.  I feel like our Yahoo-based ATT.NET email system is about to completely implode!

There seem to be a few users who have reported issues logging into their att.com account pages.  No idea if this is related or not, especially since the whole att.com website is such a bizarre hodgepodge of redirections and handoffs.  I don't think it's even registered with the ATTHelp people that these people aren't talking about the email login.

The spam flooding the Inbox is just one more bonus that Yahoo has awarded a number of Yahoo Mail users.  The things you're noticing about some of the spam isn't new, it's just that people are scrutinizing the spam more because it's become a giant pain the butt.
