Yahoo email scam?

Received email : Verify This Email Address To Avoid Immediate Closure. How do I report or rather, forward this to Yahoo security? Is there an email address I can forward this to?

You can sign into your account http://start.att.net and then click on “Mail”. Find the email in question and click on the box in front of it. Then click the down arrow under “Spam” and select the third option which is “Report a Phishing Scam”. Your email that you checked will then be reported to the appropriate place.

Just ignore it.  Set up a filter if possible to auto trash it.  Or possibly train your spam filters.  It's like 1000's of other scams for all sorts of things "out there".  Google "phishing".  Do not click on any of the links in such emails.

Thank you! I deleted it before your reply, but can find it in trash I suppose. Will do the steps you suggested! I wonder why i could not find this solution easily? I googled and came up with lots of hit, but nothing that spoke to my problem. The credit card companies make it much easier to find the solution or steps to take!!

Thanks for your suggestion. I did delete it, but had wanted to find a way to notify Yahoo that this was going around.

Thanks for replying. I had deleted it but still wondered why it was so hard to find a way to let Yahoo know about the email.

I tried your solution. Had already deleted it but went to trash and found it.  I hit the spam icon but did not have any options to choose "report a phishing scam". Weird. I am using iPad.

Not weird with an iPad or Android phone. There are lots of instances where you can see more on a desktop/laptop than you can on a smartphone. On the browser app on my android phone there is an option (Desktop)that I can check so the phone sees everything a desktop can see. I have to check that sometimes to see everything. This is particularly true when I am admitting new members to the Facebook groups that I administer

I have had this Yahoo email depemp@sbcglobal.net for about 20 years.  Yesterday it was fine and let me sign in. Today it will not accept my password and will not give me a choice to change the password.  I have another email and can be reached at that.  depemp78@gmail.com  Thanks

I should probably just give up on Yahoo mail.
