Yahoo email POP3 access suddenly stopped working in Outlook - RESOLVED
About 10 days ago (November 2017) my Yahoo email stopped downloading into Outlook 2010 (why?)!!! I've had this account set up for years. I reset my password as I suddenly was getting a login rejection. I can still login using the web client mail.yahoo.com and also on my phone, but cannot get Outlook access working again on my PC. I deleted the existing account in Outlook and started over, using the pop.mail.yahoo.com and smtp.mail.yahoo.com settings and ports, still doesn't work, I get the following error when trying to test:
Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later.
NOTE: not sure why it stopped working originally, but I was finally able to get it to work again!
