Wi-Fi password changed. (Wasn’t us)

I can connect to my “Guest” but the password for the main Wi-Fi connection has been changed and it’s not the password on the side of the router.

I had to change the password on the guest account almost two years ago because someone was connecting to it and casting videos to my devices.

Is it possible it was hacked? If so how do I reset it now that I don’t have access to the router settings?

You could do a factory reset on the gateway by holding down the reset button for >15 secs and then giving it a couple of mins to come ready.  That should set it back to the values on the label.  Note that this will wipe out any changes you made to the gateway prior to the reset.

Or, if you have a computer with an Ethernet connection, you could hook a cable to the gateway and go to http://192.168.1.254 and go to the Home Network/Wifi section to view and change the wifi passwords.  You'll need the Access Code that's on the label to get into that page.

Or, you could log into your account at att.com and go to the Internet section and click the Manage button which will get you to a place where you can change passwords.

I'm kinda leaning towards the reset since that might clear up any issues that put you in this situation in the first place.
