Why has my email address been suspended?

When logging into my yahoo email today, I received and error message that said: "AT&T services suspended! You no longer have access to your AT&T Yahoo! account _@sbcglobal.net because your AT&T Yahoo! Internet services have been suspended." What does this mean and who can I contact to have it resolved?

About the only reason I can think of for an account to get suspended is that they think your account is in default status due to non-payment of an outstanding bill.

 

In any case, you casn send a message to the att customer care team to have this issue addressed.

Pick one of there care team links (any will work) and send a message with your name, account, phone, contact email, best time to connect with you, and a message with your needs. Give them a couple days or so to get back with you, and I hope they can help.

My ATT Yahoo email account was suspended much like the original post above.  I assumed it was because I got a replacement credit card and ATT had the old card.

 

I don' t have any ATT services like U-Verse, Wireless, Phone or Direct TV.  I only have the ATT Yahoo Mail service.

 

I called the 866/ 722-3425 and after numerous calls, over a 4.5 hour time span and after speaking with 10 to12 representatives that always said "they were the right person to help me"  (they lied) they said I had to give them my old CC number so they could find the account.  I had destroyed the old card, so I had to go to the bank to get the old number. 

 

I called back with the old card info, and they still couldn't find my account. - really interesting as they have been taking money out of my bank every month for years.  I finally reached a Brittany whose native language was English.  She finally understood the issue, got me to the dial-up billing department at 866 / 435-3264.  It took all of three minutes for Brandy, the representative at this number, to help me and update the card and reinstate my account.

 

Brandy also told me about options to get all my emails, passswords, subfolders, and sub-accounts migrated to Yahoo at no cost and no monthly fee.  She guaranteed I would keep all my xxxx@att.net addresses, only all support would come from Yahoo.  Time will tell if she is correct, but if it is true that means I can keep my xxxx.att.net addresses, not pay any monthly fee, and not worry about the "suspended account" in the future.

 

If you have ATT only for ATT/Yahoo mail services and you receive the suspended account message call 866 / 4350-3264.  Also, ask them about options for the free email while keeping your current email addresses.
