Unable to receive sbcglobal emails

Recently I have been unable to receive emails at my email address which is [email scrubbed] -- it says there is a password required -- i have used this account for many many years and have not changed my password -- I sent a request to reset -- the message a gave a portion of an email address where they sent the information to reset -- this was not an email address I have ever used -- could you please help me to regain access to this account? Thank you Bruce Cain
